History

In 1967 Diego Tarara, the 3rd of 8 children, decided to visit his uncle Carl Caltagerone in the U.S. The day he left Aragona he didn’t think it would be for good, but he also didn’t realize while visiting he would meet his true love, Antoinette, and eventually have an opportunity to fulfill his dream of construction.

Antoinette was Diego’s deciding factor for moving to America. They were married in May of 1969. In December of that year Diego was offered what he considered to be the chance of a lifetime; partnership with Tony Staciones in A.A. Construction. Diego had always wanted to work in the construction business and now was his chance. Tony took him under his wing and allowed him to practically run the business on his own. Shortly after Diego decided to stay in the U.S. his brother Peter joined the company, but it wasn’t until 1986 that Peter Tarara became a partner in the company. In 2002 Sal, son of Peter Tarara and Anthony son of Diego Tarara bought into the company where today they help in the day to day operations.

A.A. Construction continues to work hard and expand in Rockford and the surrounding communities. Through their hard work and wiliness to explore new business opportunities, A.A. Construction will continue to operate year round in order meet the expectations of a growing market place.
